Whipped Snow
New Recipe from
Margie Stillwell
|
1/2 cup Ivory Flakes
1/2 cup water
Audubon, Minnesota
|
With an egg beater, whip together Ivory Flakes and water. Use this mixture to "paint"
any kind of snow scenes: snowman, wintery pictures, etc. Dries overnight. Smells good and has a raised
texture!
I finally came up with a combination for whipped snow without Ivory or Lux Flakes that are not available
anymore..... Any complexion bar soap, (Camay, Ivory, Dove, etc). Grate or peel bar soap in a large bowl
with potato peeler into 2 cups boiling water, (about a half cup of peelings). Add about a quarter cup
of liquid laundry starch, whip on high with electric mixer. Add more soap peelings if not stiff enough.....And
create! It dries hard and looks like fresh fallen snow on my Christmas tree and the whole house smells
divine. Here is a tree preserver recipe also: One quart 7-Up, One quart water, 2 teaspoons bleach. Add
daily to tree container to keep tree fresh and needles from falling.
